Snacks and Drinks in School

Water

Water is very important to keep children's brains hydrated.  It has been proven that drinking water regularly improves concentration and memory.  To this end all children are provided with a school water bottle.  We ask that these are always in school and only contain fresh water.  Children are not allowed any other drink in school apart from a drink in their lunch boxes for lunchtime - this must only be water or fruit juice.

A charge of £2 will be made to replace lost bottles.

Milk

Cool milk is available to all children in the school provided directly to the school by Cool Milk.  This is free for children under five years old and any child who is eligible for free school meals.  For all other children in the school the cost of the milk is subsidised and represents very good value for money.

If you would like your child to have milk at any point during their time at St Peter's, please visit www.coolmilk.com for more  information about how to sign up for this.

Snacks

Children in reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are provided with free fruit or vegetables each day.

Children in KS2 are only allowed to bring in a piece of fruit or vegetable for their morning snack.  No nuts please. This should be labelled or in a named box or bag.
