Our School

Welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome to St Peter's Church of England Primary School, Tunbridge Wells.

We hope that you enjoy visiting our website and find it both useful and interesting. The information contained within it is constantly being updated, so please visit us again.

St Peter’s C of E Primary is a very special little school. We have a wonderfully welcoming and diverse community, supportive families and a fantastic staff team who are totally committed to ensuring that every child within our care receives an excellent education, enabling them to achieve their potential.

Our school consists of 212 wonderful children, aged between 4 and 11 years old, based in seven classes, one per year group. They are kind friends to one another, compassionate citizens and enthusiastic learners - you will be greeted with a smile!

We are located on a beautiful site, on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells, in Hawkenbury. Our well-equipped building was purpose built in 2021 and includes: light, airy indoor learning spaces; a forest school area; extensive outdoor space and a Multi Use Games area (MUGA).

I am very proud of our school and all it achieves for the children at St Peter’s. I would like to thank all the parents, staff, governors and children for all their incredible hard work and support which makes us so unique.

►Develops, encourages and supports an enthusiastic, committed staff, open to new ideas and challenges

St Peter's has been judged by Ofsted as OUTSTANDING in every category - Achievement of Pupils; Quality of Teaching; Behaviour and Safety; Leadership and Management; and Overall Effectiveness.  This is a fabulous achievement and is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of the entire school community.

We are thrilled that the inspector recognised that "At St Peter's pupils love coming to school, rise to adults' high expectations and develop a love of learning."
