DT Class Expo
Design and Technology – Pavilion building
This term, Pupils in Mercury class have been busy testing, planning, designing, building and evaluating and creating their own wooden pavilions. Starting with learning the skills of creating stable structures, pupils in Mercury class quickly began designing their own pavilion structures based on themes unique to them. From their ideas on paper they then build a wooden frame structure using lolly sticks, glue guns and card. From this, the children then completed their designs by creating different cladding effects to the walls of their structures. Finally, the children then presented their work in a ‘class expo’ showing off their finished pieces for others in the school to see.
